HISTORY.: The Group’s roots go back to 1978 and the establishment of Protex s.a.s., alongside which, over a dozen other companies also came into being. After various experiences, in 1995, a more streamlined and rational corporate organisation was provided, while maintaining the various sectors of activity, thanks to a group of entrepreneurs (operating in the San Marino area).

The Protex Laboratories Group took its name from Protex Laboratories, the holding company that was established, which then assumed an operational holding function. A few years later, in 2002, the group changed its structure following the merger between two companies, Lavoro e Ambiente S.r.l.;(established in Forlì in October 1992, with the takeover of the limited consortium company Lavoro e Ambiente di Bologna, which had been operating in the sector since 1978) and LAmed S.r.l., an occupational health centre operating since 1996. The Group thereby acquired all the specific competence in the sector and created a single environment in which the synergies between Hygiene, Medicine and Safety could offer customers a high-quality service.

Following a process of acquisitions, divestitures of business sectors and mergers, the Group was then composed of three companies, all operating in the Environment and Safety sector.
